To assist those engaged in pastoral ministry and to provide access to documents of the Catholic Church which address sects and new religious movements, the Bishops' Committee for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs has recommended publication in English of Sects and New Religious Movements. An Anthology of Texts from the Catholic Church (1986-1994), prepared by the Working Group on New Religious Movements, Vatican City. The English translation of this anthology is authorized for publication by the undersigned.
